Description
Platinum black, an extremely fine black noble metal platinum powder containing more than 99 % platinum. Platinum asbestos is obtained by immersing it in chloroplatinic acid or a solution of chloroplatinic acid and burning it. Platinum black or platinum asbestos can be used as catalysts in many gases, especially hydrogen.
